about us

Established in August of 2012, Hayfork Speedway Inc. was built on a hopeful dream, of Clyde Cordell's, for Dirt Track Racing to return to Trinity County once again.   After hours and hours of planning, organizing, striving toward the goal. Hayfork Speedway, Inc. was born.

Sadly, Clyde never got to see this happen. He passed away on February 17, 2012. The love of racing was passed on to his sons, so in his memory, along with family and friends, the fight continued! Finally, after tackling many obstacles, the group of volunteers were given the ok to race at the Trinity County Fairgrounds once again. In honor of Clyde's determination and drive, every August, the "Clyde Cordell Memorial Dirt Track Races " are held. 2016 marks our 5th anniversary!
